Terry Rae – Drums & Vocals

Terry started playing surf music 1964 with The Scamblers.
 
In 1965, he put together the Driftones that later became The Yellow Payges.
 
In 1966, Terry joined the Palace Guard – the house band at the Hullabaloo Club in Hollywood, replacing Emmit Rhodes. He recorded on Cameo Parkway Records and did Casey Kasem promoted concerts.
 
In 1967, he played Hollywood clubs as Sweet Wine – Wolf Marshall, James Rolleston, Mike McCarty and himself.
 
He has recorded on All American Records for ex-strawberry Alarm Clock management & Greg Mumford (Incense & Peppermints). He has played locally with Space – later known as The Humans.
 
In 1968, The Jamme is put together & signed with Dunhill Records – produced by (papa) John Phillips.
 
In 1973, played locally with The Living Flame with John Schayer and Ruben de Fuentes (members of the future Hollywood Stars).
 
He recorded “Shake some Action” with the Flamin’ Groovies at Capitol Records and released on Sire Records.
 
Later, Kim Fowley puts together The Hollywood Stars and they are immediately signed to Columbia Records – later releasing “Shine like a Radio”. In 1976, they recorded demos with Niel Merryweather – later released as “Sound City”.
 
He recorded “England” with Sparks at Brothers Studio.
 
In 1977, he joined The Hollywood Stars 2nd version and signed with Arista Records. They toured with The Kinks – Sleepwalker Tour.
 
He spent the 80s playing Hollywood in  The Strangers and in The King St Dukes.
 
In 2014, The Hollywood Stars are revived. They film a music video for their original hit song, “King of the Nighttime World.” In 2019, they play a reunion show at the Whisky A Go Go. In 2020, they add John Schayer to the band making up the current lineup.
